Afacad is a contemporary sans-serif with a clean, geometric structure balanced by subtle humanist touches. Its letterforms are open and legible, with moderate stroke contrast that keeps it feeling approachable rather than cold. The weight range gives it enough versatility to work across different contexts without losing its consistent, professional character. It sits in the space between utilitarian and refined, making it readable at smaller sizes while still carrying some visual personality at display scales.
This font works well for tech startups and SaaS products where a modern but not overly stylized identity is needed. It handles UI work effectively, particularly navigation, labels, and interface copy, where clarity under pressure matters. Editorial projects like digital magazines or content-heavy blogs can also benefit from Afacad in heading roles, where its clean structure guides readers without competing with the content itself.
Best suited for: Consider Afacad for digital interfaces, tech product design, editorial headings, and content-driven websites where modern clarity and professional approachability are priorities.
Design considerations: Afacad's eight-weight range supports flexible typographic hierarchies across both body and display applications. Its geometric foundation with humanist refinement suits projects balancing contemporary aesthetics with functional legibility across screen and print contexts.
Pairing guidance: Playfair Display brings classical contrast as a display serif for headlines and feature content, Source Serif 4 offers a versatile serif alternative for extended body text with substantial weight options, and DM Mono serves functional roles in code blocks, data presentation, or technical interface elements.
