ProFont is a free, independently operated directory of Google Fonts, built to make finding, previewing, and pairing typefaces genuinely fast and free of clutter.

What we do

We index the Google Fonts library and give each typeface its own page with a live preview, available weights, practical usage guidance, and pairing suggestions. You can browse by category, test your own text, compare styles, and continue to Google Fonts when you are ready to download.

How our content is created

ProFont combines structured font information with editorially prepared guidance. Font names, categories, variants, and download destinations are based on Google Fonts data. Descriptions and pairing guidance are prepared for ProFont and checked against the font information displayed on each page. Recommendations are suggestions rather than universal rules; the right typeface always depends on the project, audience, and reading environment.

Our editorial standards

We aim to keep every page useful, accurate, and easy to understand. We do not claim ownership of third-party fonts, and we distinguish downloadable fonts from Unicode text styles. When we find an error or receive a credible correction, we review the source information and update the affected page.

Licensing and downloads

Fonts listed on ProFont are sourced from Google Fonts. Individual licenses can vary, so the license shown by Google Fonts or included with the downloaded font is the controlling source. ProFont does not host or sell the font files and does not provide legal advice. Always confirm the current license for your intended use before publishing or distributing a project.

How the site is supported
